This is the second time I’ve made Dark Magician Girl, and this time I remade the layering plan. I was really unhappy with how unnecessarily complex the assembly was on the first time around.

I decided to go with a Secret Premium Gold rarity for this card, as the foiling seemed perfect for this artwork.

After the frame is finished, onward to cutting and processing the artwork pieces!

Assembly was quite fun this time around, although it took me a bit more time than I expected.

I recently saw a fellow shadowbox creator taping down the pieces in order to keep them secure during assembly. I always did this using my fingers, but decided to give this method a go, as it’s probably safer, even though you have to spend some time taping down the pieces.
