After seeing this very wholesome post on Reddit where a user got turned into a Hearthstone card by her husband (https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/lm4b7l/my_husband_turned_me_into_a_hearthstone_card/),,) with beautiful artwork and the card being very well printed, I absolutely had to make it a shadowbox. Long story short, a few months later this finally happened!

First up the cardback, nice and simple. This paper was great for engraving, so I went nuts with it.

Then I went on to build the front-facing frame. I decided to go full on with the layered elements instead of only cutting them for the top-most layer. I haven't done HS cards in a while and felt like this would be a nice change of pace.

The last step, the artwork! First let's see the difference between unprocessed and processed pieces, as usual:

And we continue with the assembly!
