Time for another MTG project, a second Mayael, but this time in landscape version! This was another unique project I was looking forward do, as I have never done a landscape version of a card.

The challenge here was how to make the border so that it would be seamless and have a good aesthetic. I simulated several different options (these are not yet glued and just placed together) and let the customer pick what they liked most.

We settled on the last version, which seemed the cleanest and best looking.

The finished frame is quite stunning in my opinion, I love the black and gold combination.

I then proceeded to cut out and process the pieces. I made a slight mistake on the face piece because I prematurely stripped the backing cardboard, which made it harder to shape that piece, but I kind of pulled it off.

Then it's finally time to assemble everything!

I'm very proud of the final product, but I personally like the portrait version better! 😜
